What the system actually considers.

Location & travel time.
Each case is matched to the BCBA whose home base is closest — and the system shows you total weekly miles. A well-planned region cuts driving by a quarter or more.

Time slots & availability.
BCBA hours are real. The planner respects max weekly capacity and won't overload anyone. Conflicts surface as red flags, not surprises on Monday morning.

Caseload balance.
One BCBA at 40 hours and another at 22 isn't a plan — it's a turnover risk. "Optimize for balance" redistributes hours so no one is overworked or underutilized.
